Have you heard? Vital Proteins® & Jennifer Aniston™ are elevating your bar game. We collaborated with our Chief Creative Officer to create a delicious protein and collagen bar in three elevated flavors: Peanut Butter Fudge, Cold Brew Coffee, and Dark Chocolate Coconut. The bars are perfect for any time of day: morning, between meals, or on the go — all under 200 calories each.
“I spent the last year collaborating closely with the Vital Proteins team on this new bar collection, helping to handpick the ingredients and flavors that I love. I can’t wait for people to try them out,” said Jennifer Aniston, CCO of Vital Proteins.
Aniston, who regularly consumes bars, found that none of them were quite right, and wanted to create a bar sized to fit her lifestyle that includes key ingredients that she hadn’t seen in bars to date.
These delicious bars are available for purchase now! Aniston herself adores the premium ingredients and flavors. Each bar is inspired by ingredients she adds to her shakes, such as maca & maqui berry in the Peanut Butter Fudge, maca & cordyceps in the Cold Brew Coffee, and reishi & lion’s mane in the Dark Chocolate Coconut.
Along with these premium ingredients, the bars feature 14g of protein, including 6g of grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine collagen peptides, contain less than 1g of sugar^^, and are made without gluten or soy.
While you’re likely familiar with our flagship ingredient, Collagen Peptides (you can read more about the benefits of collagenhere) the exciting and innovative ingredients in these delicious bars might be new to you. Here, our Vital Proteins® Functional Nutrition expert, Olivia Peláez, MS, FMCHC breaks it down.
What is maca root powder?
The maca plant is sometimes referred to as Peruvian ginseng. Maca is a cruciferous vegetable in the broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and kale family and is typically grown in the Peruvian Andes mountain range.
Vital Proteins uses an organic maca root powder sourced from Peru in the Peanut Butter Fudge and Cold Brew Coffee flavored bars.
The most commonly used part of the plant is the maca root, where you can often find fiber, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, Peláez explains. It is often used in teas or can come in a capsule or powder form.

These compounds give the berry their dark color and are packed with antioxidants called flavonoids. The berry can be eaten fresh, used to make jams and juice or ground into powder.
What are cordyceps?
Cordyceps are mushrooms, sometimes called Caterpillar Mushrooms. There are over 400 species of this mushroom, which is primarily found at high altitudes in a number of places around the world.
What is lion’s mane?

What is reishi?
